Ben Myers and I were at Big Ears festival in 2016. We were extremely excited to witness Tony Conrad perform with Faust, unfortunately Tony Conrad fell ill but the performance went on, with Laurie Anderson stepping in. The performance was incredible, we were handed mushrooms from an enlightened soul and we danced the entire hour of the performance. Sadly, Tony passed soon after, but being so moved by the performance, we had to create something in absolute appreciation for the artist. After creating our piece, we invited Open Sex to contribute, knowing their mutual love and respect for the man.
